Neurological side effects of amiodarone Review article
Main Article Content
Abstract
Neurological side effects of amiodarone are not infrequent and are typically found in 20–40% patients treated. Both central and peripheral neurological side effects can be present and majority of them are related to long term high dose oral treatment. Management of these side effects is focused on symptomatic treatment. In order to minimize the side effects lowering the dose or even discontinuing of the drug may be necessary.
