Abstract

Peripartum cardiomyopathy is a rare case of heart failure in pregnant women, appearing at the end of pregnancy or up to 5 months after giving birth. Article summarizes current state of knowledge in the field, disease epidemiology, etiology, risk factors, clinical symptoms, diagnosis, treatment options and prognosis.
