Abstract

Abdominal pain is a non-characteristic symptom of many diseases. Most often it is matched with dysfunction of gastrointestinal tract or disease entity which needs surgical procedure. However, we must not forget about the cardiovascular etiology of the pain, taking into consideration: myocardial infarction, abdominal aortic aneurysm, mesenteric artery embolism, ischemic bowel disease, congenital heart defect. Non-specific abdominal pain of imperceptible cause should never be belittled by any doctor.
Early diagnosis and treatment diseases which contain elements of cardiology and gastroenterology alleviates the pain and also help to prevent serious consequences for patients health and life.
