Abstract

Vitamin C plays an important role in shaping the immune system, exhibiting anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, antioxidant, anticoagulant and antiviral properties. It may also advantageously modulate the host response to the SARS-CoV-2 virus causing COVID-19.
