Abstrakt

Chociaż zwyrodnienie plamki związane z wiekiem (AMD) ma wspólne czynniki ryzyka z chorobami układu sercowo-naczyniowego, to jego mechanizm patogenetyczny jest inny niż w przypadku chorób sercowo-naczyniowych, inne jest także leczenie. Dlatego w przypadku podejrzenia AMD lekarz kardiolog powinien skierować chorego do specjalisty.
