Abstract

The concept of Ebenezer Howard’s garden city was first time presented in 1902. For over 100 years it inspired transformations of architecture and urban planning. The concept directly encourages healthy living space planning. Thus promotes active lifestyle, which improves the mental well-being. What initially seemed to be the utopia of Victorian era, became the basis for the modern, fully conscious design.
